Other Resources

Part of the Adirondack Center for Writing's mission is to unify the literary community that is spread throught this six-million-acre Park. Our Adirondack Writers' Resource Guide and our membership structure are two ways we hope to acheive this goal. Another way we hope to serve as a resource is to bring writers with similar needs together. If you are a writer in search of a writing group, an author looking for an editor, or a new publisher that needs help getting the word out about your press, let us know and we will post your request for you. Below are some notices, web sites, and annoucements. If you would like to be included on this page, just send us an email and we would be happy to include it.

*Seeking a colleague to exchange novels and/or short stories to do construtive criticism of each other's work to prepare for publication. Trade services, not money. Interested only in "literary" fiction. Editorial exchange also possible. Contact Allen Fitz-Gerald at 518-946-7368 or fitzge@frontiernet.net if interested.

*Support Group for Mystery Writers. The UNUSUAL SUSPECTS, mystery writers' support group meets at the Saratoga Springs Public Library on Henry Street once a month on Thursdays, summer and winter hours vary. This group offers positive critique to published or as-yet-to-be-published authors in the mystery genre. The next two meetings are scheduled for May 30 and June 20, 7-9pm.

*Regional author to publish sequel this summer. Writer John Briant's sequel to Adirondack Detective titled Adirondack Detective Returns will be out this Summer of 2002.
